All English thoroughbred horses go back to three Arabian stallions born between 1680 and 1724. The horses are often crossed with other breeds to make them more elegant. The English thoroughbred horses had a major influence on the development of warmblood horses such as the Trakehners, Holsteiners, quarter horses and Morgan horses.
